Privacy
This notice explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or buy from us, and what we do with it. The data controller is Somar Group Ltd (trading as Tranquilux), company number 15783106, registered office 41 Rectory Grove, London, England, SW4 0DX. You can contact us at oscar@tranquilux.co.uk.
What this website stores
The website itself has no accounts, forms or database, and stores nothing about you on our side. Your browser keeps a note of whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. That note stays on your device.
Buying: Stripe
When you click Buy, you go to a checkout page run by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, delivery address and payment details. We never see or store your card details. Stripe passes us your name, email address, delivery address and what you ordered, so we can send your order and deal with any return or question.
Our lawful basis is that we need this data to perform our contract with you. We keep order records for six years to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Stripe processes payment data on our behalf, and as an independent controller for its own purposes such as fraud prevention, under its privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Advertising: the Meta pixel
We advertise on Instagram and Facebook. If, and only if, you click Accept in the cookie banner, this website loads the Meta pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It sets cookies (such as _fbp) and tells Meta which pages you viewed, when you clicked Buy, and when an order was completed, with its value. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. We use it to measure whether our adverts work and to show them to people more likely to be interested.
Our lawful basis is your consent. If you reject, or ignore the banner, the pixel does not load and nothing is sent to Meta. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
For this processing, we and Meta are joint controllers. Meta may transfer data outside the UK. You can read how Meta uses data at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Hosting: Cloudflare
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic technical details of your visit to deliver the pages and protect the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use what you send to reply. We keep the email for as long as we need it to deal with your question.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us to do any of these. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
